o r protein that serves to activate numerous intracellular signaling pathways via its interaction with recept o r tyrosine kinases (RTKs). Gab1 is a substrate of various RTKs, including EGFR, insulin recept o r , cytokine recept o r s, a n d B cell antigen recept o r s; a n d it acts as a docking protein f o r several SH2-containing proteins (1-3).
