phosphate dehydrogenase. It is a cytosolic enzyme whose main function is to produce NADPH, a key electron donor in the defense against oxidizing agents and in reductive biosynthetic reactions. G6PD is remarkable for its diversity. Many variants of G6PD, mostly produced from mutations, have been described with wide ranging levels of enzyme activity and associated clinical symptoms. G6PD deficiency may cause neonatal jaundice, acute hemolysis, or severe chronic non-spherocytic hemolytic anemia (1). Recommended Applications WB, IHC, ICC, FC Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 IHC: 1:50 - 100 ICC: 1:50 - 100 FC: 1:10 - 100 Species Reactivity * Human *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) Molt-4, (B) A549, (C) MCF-7, (D) HeLa, and (E) HepG2 cell lysates using anti-G6PD RabMAb (cat. #5128-1). Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human testis tissue using anti-G6PD RabMAb (cat. #5128-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human G6PD was used as an immunogen. |
