dishevelled (dsh) protein family. The vertebrate dsh proteins have approximately 40% amino acid sequence similarity with Drosophila dsh. Dishevelled 2 is a 90-kDa protein that undergoes posttranslational phosphorylation to form a 95-kDa cytoplasmic protein, which may play a role in the signal transduction pathway mediated by multiple Wnt proteins. The mechanisms of dishevelled function in Wnt signaling are likely to be conserved among metazoans (1). Recommended Applications WB, IP Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 IP: 1:10 - 100 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on HeLa cell lysate using anti-Phospho-Dishevelled 2 (pT224) RabMAb (cat. #5287-1). Cells were either (A) untreated or (B) treated with Calyculin A. Specificity A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Threonine 224 of human Dishevelled 2 was used as an immunogen. This antibody only detects Dishevelled 2 phosphorylated at Threonine 224. This antibody was developed as part of a collaboration between Epitomics, the National Cancer Institute's Center for Cancer Research and the lab of Kyung Lee. |
