a kinesin-like motor protein that accumulates in the G2 phase of the cell cycle. Unlike other centrosome-associated proteins, it is not present during interphase and first appears at the centromere region of chromosomes during prometaphase. CENPE is proposed to be one of the motors responsible for mammalian chromosome movement and/or spindle elongation (1). Recommended Applications WB Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 Species Reactivity * Human *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) HeLa treated with aphidicolin and Nocodazole, (B) HepG2, and (C) Jurkat cell lysates using anti-CENPE RabMAb (cat. #5368-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human CENPE was used as an immunogen. |
