a member of the interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) family. IRF-2 competitively inhibits the IRF1-mediated transcriptional activation of interferons alpha and beta, and presumably other proteins that employ IRF1 for activation. However, IRF-2 also functions as a transcriptional activator of histone H4 (1). Recommended Applications WB, IHC Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 IHC: 1:50 - 100 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) SW480, (B) HeLa, (C) Raw264.7, (D) NIH/3T3 and (E) Neuro-2a cell lysates using anti-IRF-2 RabMAb (cat. #5149-1). Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colonic adenocarcinoma tissue using anti-IRF-2 RabMAb (cat. #5149-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human IRF-2 was used as an immunogen. |
