folate receptor family. Members of this family bind folic acid and its reduced derivatives, and transport 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells. Folate Receptor 1 is a secreted protein that either anchors to membranes via a glycosyl- phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. Mutations in Folate Receptor 1 have been associated with neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency (1). Recommended Applications WB Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) JAR, (B) HeLa, (C) MCF-7, (D) 293T, and (E) A549 cell lysates using anti-Folate Receptor 1 RabMAb (cat. #5420-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human Folate Receptor 1 was used as an immunogen. |
