kB (NF-kB) transcription factor family. The NF-kB family of dimeric transcription factors consists of four other mammalian members, RelA (p65), RelB, NF-kB1 (p105/p50) and NFkB2 (p100/p52) and is involved in many biological processes such as inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorigenesis and apoptosis. c-Rel is a proto-oncogene that may play a role in differentiation and lymphopoiesis. c-Rel form different dimer combinations that act as transcriptional activators of repressors (1). Findings indicate that RelA and c-Rel control the development of the epidermis and associated appendages during embryogenesis; they regulate epidermal homeostasis in a postnatal environment through the suppression of innate immune-mediated inflammation (2). Recommended Applications WB, IP Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:10,000 - 50,000 IP: 1:10 - 100 Species Reactivity Human Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) Daudi and (B)HuT-78 cell lysates using anti-c-rel RabMAb (cat. #2793-1).
