proteins: high molecular weight kininogen (HMWK) and low molecular weight kininogen (LMWK). HMWK is essential for blood coagulation and assembly of the kallikrein- kinin system. Also, bradykinin, a peptide causing numerous physiological effects, is released from HMWK. In contrast to HMWK, LMWK is not involved in blood coagulation (1). Recommended Applications WB, IHC, IP Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:10,000 - 50,000 IHC: 1:100 - 250 IP: 1:10 - 100 Species Reactivity * Human *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) human plasma, (B) human platelet, and (C) ovarian cancer lysates using anti-Kininogen-1 RabMAb (cat. #5183-1). Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human kidney tissue using anti-Kininogen-1 RabMAb (cat. #5183-1). Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human ovarian adenocarcinoma tissue using anti-Kininogen-1 RabMAb (cat. #5183-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human Kininogen-1 was used as an immunogen. This antibody detects three isoforms of Kininogen-1: full length (120 kDa), light chain (56 kDa), and cleavage form (45 kDa). |
