| 產品參數 | 【產品介紹】Glycogen synthases kinase 3 alpha (GSK3-α) is
a multifunctional Serine/Threonine protein kinase, one of two isoforms of GSK3 (1). Originally identified as a regulator of glycogen synthase, it has been shown to be involved in the hormonal control of several regulatory factors and transcription factors. GSK3-α activity is down regulated by phosphorylation on Serine 21 by PKB, or activated by phosphorylation on Tyrosine 279 (2). Insulin inactivates GSK3-α by rapid phosphorylation which leads to activation of Glycogen Synthase in the cells (3). GSK3-α activitiy has been linked to a pathogenic mechanism in Alzheimer's disease (4). GSK3 beta) plays a key role in insulin and Wnt signaling, phosphorylating downstream targets by default, and becoming inhibited following the extracellular signaling event (5). Products Data A. Western blot analysis on 293 cell lysates using anti-Phospho-GSK3a/b (pY279/pY216) RabMAb (cat. #2309-1), 1:2000 dilution. Cells were either (A) untreated (B) treated with AP B. Immunohistochemical analysis of parafffin-embedded human brain using anti-GSK3aGSK3b (pY279)/(pY216) RabMAb (cat. # 2309-1). Specificity A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding tyrosine 279 in human GSK3a and tyrosine 216 in human GSKb was used as an immunogen. This antibody detects both GSKα phosphorylated on tyrosine 279 and GSK3β phosphorylyated on tyrosine 216. |
