related proteins (CTRPs), CTRP2 is the only CTRP protein that possesses similar biological activities as adiponectin (1). It activates AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase) in muscle cells, resulting in increased glycogen deposition and enhanced fatty acid oxidation. CTRP2 is expressed predominantly by adipose tissue (2). Recommended Applications WB Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) Caco-2, (B) HepG2, and (C) Jurkat cell lysates using anti-CTRP2 RabMAb (cat. #5147-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues on the C-terminus in human CTRP2 was used as an immunogen. |
