morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. This group of proteins is characterized by a polybasic proteolytic processing site, which is cleaved to produce a mature protein containing seven conserved cysteine residues. The members of this family are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues. Studies in mice and Xenopus suggest that BMP11 is involved in mesodermal formation and neurogenesis during embryonic development (1). Recommended Applications WB, IHC Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 IHC: 1:500 - 1000 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) HeLa and (B) human heart lysates using anti-BMP11 RabMAb (cat. #5177-1). Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon adenocarcinoma tissue using anti-BMP11 RabMAb (cat. #5177-1). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human BMP11 was used as an immunogen. |
