kinase family. This protein is a key enzyme in the regulation of glycerol uptake and metabolism. It catalyzes the phosphorylation of glycerol by ATP, yielding ADP and glycerol-3-phosphate. Mutations in Glycerol Kinase are associated with glycerol kinase deficiency (GKD) (1). Recommended Applications WB, IP, FC Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 IP: 1:10 - 100 FC: 1:100 - 500 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) fetal liver and (B) HepG2 cell lysates using anti-Glycerol Kinase RabMAb (cat. #5480-1). Flow cytometric analysis of permeabilized HepG2 cells using anti-Glycerol Kinase RabMAb (red) (catalog # 5480-1) or a rabbit IgG (negative) (green). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human Glycerol Kinase was used as an immunogen. |
